Sibling Day Weekend Roundup

While this is not Mother’s Day or Father’s day, I called this week’s roundup post Sibling Day’s Roundup because of the accomplishments that my younger sisters have achieved. One is getting ready to be in an all state juried art show, another is ramping up to audition for all county orchestra, and the youngest has read all of her reading for the summer already. I am very proud of my sisters.

What do you think of the new color scheme? My wife calls it Napa Kitchen.

This week from the Fitness Health Network there are several good posts. I present to you for your weekend reading the following:

  • Get Fit Slowly writes on It’s Hard To Raise Healthy Kids. Stats are going up and it’s because food is easy to blame TV, so what are you going to do about it? Stay active as a family!
  • Remember when you were in college and played sports all the time with a bunch of friends? Lose Weight with Sports by LazyManandHealth encourages pickup games. Call your buddies, neighbors, and work colleagues and start a weekly match.
  • Are Stretch Marks Haunting You? By FatManUnleashed this week is about what they are and some ways in which you get them.
  • If you like Journal of Healthy Living are getting a little tired of meat here’s an Idea: Going Vegetarian For One Week. Good luck with it and if you got great meal ideas share them in the comments!
  • Along with LazyMan, No Calories Needed has found an excellent way to combine sports and exercise with Combining Walking And Practicing Golf.

Then, since I’ve been bummed a little with my foot, I’ve taken up to reading more blogs. Take a look and tell me what you think.
